that they are free to modify as they see fit, I thought it appropriate to update The <em>Bill of Right \u2013 The Liberal Version<\/em> in honor of her elevation to the council of Kings otherwise known as the Supreme Court. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"links1\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment I<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"blogpostcontent\">\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-large;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">There shall be a separation of Church and State;<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof<\/span>; abridging the freedom of speech, <strong>except for political speech near an election<\/strong>, or of the press, <strong>except talk radio<\/strong>; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, <strong>except near abortion clinics and for tea parties<\/strong>, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances, <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">unless the grievance regards rights or remedies newly created by courts, or which occurs near an election or is to oppose policies that the government deems necessary. <\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Amendment II<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">of the people <\/span><strong>government<\/strong> to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment III<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment IV<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">The right of the people<strong> and enemy combatants<\/strong> to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable<strong>* <\/strong>searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause<strong>*<\/strong>, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment V<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\">\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">No person <strong>nor enemy combatant<\/strong> shall be held to answer for a<strong>n<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">capital, or otherwise<\/span> infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger<\/span>; <strong>Persons must be read their rights.\u00a0\u00a0<strong><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #463e3e;\">Confessions made outside of the presence of legal council must be considered suspect; confessions in the presence of legal council may be grounds for retrial.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Any incriminating evidence gained by illegal or mistaken action must be exclude and shall not be used in a trail,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">life<\/span>, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public <strong>or private<\/strong> use, without just compensation, <strong>however government may control the use of private property as if it were the owner without actually taking ownership and without just compensation, where government deems it necessary.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment VI<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/div>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">In all criminal prosecutions the accused, <strong>and in all military actions enemy combatants<\/strong>, shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment VII<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment VIII<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">Excessive<strong>*<\/strong> bail shall not be required, nor excessive<strong>*<\/strong> fines imposed, nor cruel<strong>*<\/strong> and unusual<strong>*<\/strong> punishments, <strong>nor the death penalty<\/strong> inflicted.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; font-family: Verdana;\">Amendment IX<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <strong>or those created by Judges.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Amendment X<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The <span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">powers<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">not<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">delegated<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">to the United States by the Constitution<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">,<\/span> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <strong>(Meaningless \u2013 to be ignored)<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #463e3e; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment A<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>There is a right to privacy.*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment B<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>There is a right to abortion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment C<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>There is a right to effective* health care.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment D <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>There is a right to same-sex Marriage.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment E<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>All people are equal.\u00a0 Thought this is not to be seen as conflicting with special treatment given to some, deemed worthy or needing of special treatment, by government. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment F<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Any of the above right can be modified or ignored by Government when deemed necessary, such as in the case of protecting the environment or opposing conservatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Amendment G<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>None of these modifications is to be considered a modification, and any attempt to restore the Bill of Rights to its original understanding shall be deemed \u201cModifying the Bill of Rights for the first time in our history.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>* Term to be defined by Liberals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since Liberals like Sotomayor see the Constitution as a &#8220;Living Document&#8221;
